Welcome to WordPress. We are using this newscast site as a combination of all the activities we are conducting in the UK as ZHRO, ROHR, CCC and ZAPU members {and a few other organisations.
We regularly petition the UK PM, FCDO, Commonwealth, and other African Embassies in relation to the {largely impotent} SADC.
As ZHRO we formed on 22nd October 2016; ZHRO was a ‘break-away’ organisation from the ROHR International Organisation under Ephraim Tapa [claimed “Life President]. We tried to reform ROHR as a Charity but Ephraim Tapa flatly refused to relinquish control – hence we formed ZHRO. The author was part of this version of ROHR up until October 2016 – [and not to be confused with ROHR Zimbabwe under Mr Karimanzira].
ZHRO had started a regular Vigil on Wednesday with several key highly publicised high profile acts of activism in the UK that have gained World-wide acknowledgement. Starting with their Zimbabwe Embassy ‘Invasion’ [27th September 2017], where Mugabe’s Portrait was removed from the wall inside the Embassy. This prompted coverage by VOA in Washington, USA where the organisers were referred to, and several articles in Bulawayo24 etc. The video of this action has been seen by over 100,000 people on the ZHRO Facebook page, and additionally been circulated by several other news media channels -such as Bulawayo24. This video has also been uploaded to YouTube and watermarked. Since late March 2020 our Wednesday Vigil at the Zimbabwe Embassy has been severely curtailed due to the COVID 19 situation which has affected delivery of the stand, and most ZHRO members personal transport plans to get to the Embassy.
However we are also keenly involved with ROHR, CCC and ZAPU. In fact wea re web administers for https://ccc-diaspora.com AND https://zapu.org and are in regular contact with leaders of those organisations – simply because every Zimbabwean has the same thorny problem – ZANU PF.
